Char Bottle Vodka!

Intoxication!

I should have written this a week ago but it took a while to recover from the intoxication, the intoxication of the fest, the enjoyment, the cheers, the brotherhood and the college life. Last week, Antaragni - Technorion was celebrated in the college and I made it a point not to miss any of the events. It was on my top priority despite my grueling job timings.

I wanted to get my hands dirty, scream with the crowd, dance like no tomorrow, click loads of snaps with my friends around, flirt with the hotties and most importantly re-live my college life. So starting from Saturday 22nd Feb, I had been going to the college as if I had always belonged there. Yes, people call me a senti-MENTAL guy. In fact I’m and that’s what makes me enjoy to the fullest. From boat-race mud-race preps to the evening of the sexiest Fashion show of the college, I was there. I did everything that a college guy would do in such an electrified atmosphere. X-)

I made wonderful new friends, danced in the flash mob in a mall where its ceiling was blown off by the then on-going storm, painted the arena for boat race with my juniors, been to the old empty rooms, where we used to rehearse our dance, ate tiffin like the old times, wandered the entire college without a care in the world and so on.

And there was the BAJA Car developed by the Team AXIOM of my college. Proud of these guys. Wonderful job, mean machine, true engineering and loads of thrill! Hats off to them!
Want to have a ride?

Like they say fun begins when the sun sets. It was a norm in the college. All the main events were organised in the evening. Street dance was the biggest hit of this season. I could never imagine how wonderfully those guys pulled those stunning moves on stage. It’s a different story I too couldn't help to hold back my feet as the DJ blew the speakers.

Next came the Rock Show. I didn't understand a single word of what they performed there but I made sure to dance non-stop and head bang like anything. The inter college dance event was one which will remain imprinted on my mind forever. The moves, the stunts, the grace and of course the coordination. Hats off to all those participants. Especially the Ganesha group and the Foot Works Team. Guys if you are reading this please tell me where you practice I want to be your student! ;-) And I envy two of my batch mates who got a chance to be on stage this time. Ridz performed on Teri Deewani and Haren charged the crowd with his melodious voice. I wish I could be there too. Thanks to the general shift that I couldn't make it.

The DJ wars was great although the cops of CRPF around the college were not unanimous with our views as they forced us to shut down the event. Probably we were having way too much enjoyment that the Govt. would allow. ;-)

And how can I forget the fashion show and the crowd that could put the busiest of locals in Mumbai to shame. They had called an international choreographer for the event this time. And certainly he raised the bar of the fashion show. All the themes, [I don’t remember any of the names] were performed beautifully and to be honest we guys never knew there were so many gorgeous faces in the college. Especially that girl in the white saree who was the runner up! I don’t know what her name is but she surely caught my attention the whole evening. I just couldn't take my eyes off her. Bold and beautiful. Wonder if she would ever read this! B-)
But apart from all this I missed my batch mates, my gang. Agreed a few were there with me but we could have taken the event by a storm had all of us been together. Those knee breaking dance rehearsals, lunch munching, leg-pulling in canteen, watery dahi samosa, classroom masti, endless chidiya udd games, corridor romancing and limitless flirting and pecks and what not! I missed them all.

I am glad that I could be a part of the fest again and re-live my college life but I still want more and more and more. I know I’m greedy.

In the background - Give me some sunshine, give me some rain . . . Give me another chance I wanna grow up once again . . .
Cheers!
